Increasing numbers of people are homeless and sleeping rough.  Winter is the worst time of the year, and bedding becomes wet and unusable.

With growing awareness of homelessness in the public sphere, thanks to events and activities such as CEO sleepout, Sunday Mail Annual Blanket Appeal, and The Red Shield Appeal, the Rotary Club of Gawler Light facilitated the Shelterbag Project within our district.

Shelterbags provide an immediate solution that offers shelter from the elements when sleeping rough.

The Rotary Club of Modbury Golden Grove has purchased 30 bags, and donated these along with 10 blankets to The Salvation Army Modbury Corps for distribution through their homeless program.
